Booker provides personalized book recommendations based on user preferences and book reading habits. The recommendations are generated using the OpenAI ChatGPT API. The app is intended for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not modify, copy, distribute, or use the content provided by the app for any other purpose unless expressly authorized by us.

2. User Accounts

To use some features of the App, you may be required to provide certain personal information, including your name. This information is stored locally on your device and not on our servers. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of this information and for maintaining its confidentiality. We do not allow account creation or storage of data in the cloud, and as such, there are no account recovery processes.

3. Book Recommendations

The app suggests books based on your input and preferences, utilizing the OpenAI ChatGPT API. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, quality, or suitability of the book recommendations for your preferences. These recommendations are generated dynamically and are based on your provided data at the time of use.

4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Booker offers in-app purchases and subscriptions for enhanced features through RevenueCat. By making any in-app purchases, you agree to the terms provided by the relevant payment service providers (Apple App Store, Google Play Store) and RevenueCat. Refunds and cancellations of in-app purchases are subject to the terms of these third-party providers.

You are responsible for managing your subscriptions and understanding the terms of auto-renewal, billing, and cancellation as provided by your platform’s App Store.

5. Data Collection and Privacy

We collect and process the following data:

• Name: Stored locally for personalization within the app.

• Book Preferences: Temporarily used to generate book recommendations through the ChatGPT API.

• Google Analytics for Firebase: We collect anonymized usage data to track app performance and usage trends. Users cannot opt-out of analytics tracking, as it is essential for the app’s functionality.

• RevenueCat: Handles the processing of subscriptions and in-app purchases.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App, including but not limited to the user interface, design, text, graphics, and logos, are owned by Mustafa Mir Ömer Kalkan and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to access and use the App for personal, non-commercial use only.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.

• Exploit or reverse-engineer any part of the App for commercial purposes.

• Interfere with the security features of the App or attempt to access unauthorized areas of the app.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you violate these Terms and Conditions.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties or representations, either expressed or implied, about the operation or availability of the App, the accuracy of the content, or the suitability of any books recommended.

Booker and its developers will not be held responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the App.

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we make changes, we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. We encourage you to review these Terms regularly to stay informed about your rights and obligations.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
